I pass my qual today, it's your turn to pass, my dear
You came to cheer me up before my qual exam started.
Although I kept saying you should leave then but you didn't, I was so touched and really really appreciated your showing up from my deep heart.
Now I passed; feel a little bit relief but start to worry about the next exam.
I am so nervous, ain't I, huh.
Anyway, to keep working hard for both of us, cheers.
To summarize what I got from committees:
Committees were nice to me:
When one committee asked questions and I may be answering in the wrong direction or misunderstanding the question, the other committee was trying to keep me in the right track; helping me to clarify the question so I wasn't going off too far.
This is good and also bad for me, cuz not every time I can have some other person to help me.
There are some good suggestions about immediate analysis (mFold, Northern...) to do to help making more publishable data.
One committee would think for me about the outside competition or how much work I need/can do.
A suggestion from David before the day of the exam: calm down to make sure I got clear what the question is; there's a strategy to repeat the question and make sure I understand it.
I think I did to repeat the question to prevent mistakes in the exam.
The logic of my first aim is wrong or risky; I need work on this more (or work from miR array list more):
The data I have right now can't be convinced that I can work on as a RNA biologist;
I guess one committee was angry that I didn't at least get Northern work in these six months.
Worthy to test zenk/mir by luciferase assay.
Keep working on improving my English.
